Brew at the L.A. ZooTickets Now On Sale For Special Evening of Beer Tasting and Entertainment

The Los Angeles Zoo will host “Brew at the L.A. Zoo” on August 10, 2012 from 6:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. This special event for ages 21 and over allows Zoo guests to tour some of the Zoo’s most popular habitats while sampling beer from local breweries. Upon arrival Zoo guests will receive a 4.5 ounce collectible sample glass with 14 tickets to exchange for samples.

Participating breweries include Widmer Brothers Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Rock Bottom Brewery-Long Beach, Brouwerij West, Mad River Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Company, El Segundo Brewing Company, Golden Road Brewing, Bootlegger’s Brewery, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Crispin & Fox Barrel Cider Company, Drake’s Brewing, Black Market Brewing Company, Cismontane Brewing, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, North Coast Brewing, Nobel Ale Works, Bayhawk Ales and I & I Brewing.

Live entertainment will include bands such as the Gemütlich Trio, Stage 11 and Mini Mansions, comedians from the Laugh Factory, DJ MORINGSTAR and the music from 93.1 Jack FM and KROQ.

In addition to all of the festivities, several of the Zoo’s newer habitats including the LAIR-Living Amphibian, Invertebrates and Reptiles will be open to our guests. Other animal highlights for the evening include koala, harbor seal, lowland gorilla and Komodo dragon.

Tickets are expected to sell out to this event and should be purchased ahead of time at http://lazoo.org/brew/. General Public Presale Tickets are $40. Designated Driver Tickets are $20 and do not include a tasting glass or beer tickets with admission but are provided with free souvenir cup with foundation drink refills all night. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the event. The first 500 guests to arrive will receive exclusive and complimentary tickets for two to the Laugh Factory, at either the Hollywood or Long Beach locations, while supplies last.
