Tickets Now On Sale For Special Evening of Beer Tasting and Entertainment
The Los Angeles Zoo will host Brew at the L.A. Zoo on August 9, 2013 from 6:00 P.M.-10:00 P.M. This special event for ages 21 and over allows Zoo guests to tour some of the Zoo’s most popular habitats while sampling beer from local breweries. Upon arrival Zoo guests will receive a 5 ounce collectible sample beer mug with 14 tickets to exchange for samples.
Participating breweries include Widmer Brothers Brewing, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Blue Moon Brewing, Batch 19, Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Heretic Brewing Company, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Rock Bottom Brewery-Long Beach, Mad River Brewing Company, Fireman’s Brew, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Stone Brewing Company, Golden Road Brewing, San Pedro Brewing Company, Port Town Brewing Company, Crispin & Fox Barrel Cider Company, The Lagunitas Brewing Company, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, Inland Empire Brewing Company, Angel City Brewery, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, I & I Brewing, and Barefoot Wine.
Live entertainment will include bands such as Strangeheart and Ivory Deville, live Karaoke, DJ MORINGSTAR and music from 93.1 Jack FM and KROQ.
In addition to all of the festivities, several of the Zoo’s newer habitats including the LAIR-Living Amphibians, Invertebrates and Reptiles will be open to our guests. Other animal highlights for the evening include koala, harbor seal, lowland gorilla and Komodo dragon.

WHAT: Brew at the L.A. Zoo - Beer Festival at the L.A. Zoo
WHEN: Friday, August 9, 2013 - 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
Tickets are expected to sell out to this event and should be purchased ahead of time. General Public Presale Tickets are $45. Designated Driver Tickets are $25 and do not include a tasting mug or beer tickets with admission but are provided with a free souvenir cup with fountain drink refills all night. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to enter the event.
The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens is located in Griffith Park at the junction of the Ventura (134) and Golden State (5) freeways, where it hosts over 1.6 million visitors each year. The Zoo is home to a diverse collection of 1,100 animals, many of which are rare or endangered. New exhibits include the LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles), Elephants of Asia, and Campo Gorilla Reserve. Admission is $18 for adults and $13 for children ages 2 to 12.
