Early Zoo Closure

In order to prepare for this year's Beastly Ball, the Zoo will close early on Saturday, June 15, 2013.

  • The LAIR and Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel will close at 3pm.
  • Ticket sales will end at 3pm, and the gates will close at 4pm.

Roaring Nights LogoRoaring Nights in July

This July, the Los Angeles Zoo will welcome a new kind of wildlife with its Roaring Nights nighttime series. In addition to the rare treat of exploring the Zoo after-hours, Roaring Nights will feature live music from up-and-coming local bands, such as So Many Wizards and CHIEF, a dance party with DJ Morning Star at the Zoo's carousel, and standup comedians holding court at the petting zoo.

Food truck favorites, including Grilled Cheese Truck, Coolhaus, Komodo Truck, and Crepe'n Around, will also be on hand, along with full bar service. Experience nature in a completely new way, with live animal encounters and pop-up zookeeper talks throughout the evening.

Come for the party, stay for the fun, and discover L.A.'s best summer wildlife. All events are 18 and up. Admission is $15 for Zoo members; $18 for non-members. Tickets will be available at the gate each event night.

Brew at the L.A. ZooBrew at the L.A. Zoo

Spend an evening sampling beer from local craft and microbreweries in the beautiful Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Enjoy live local entertainment and delicious pub-style food while visiting many of the Zoo’s animal residents. Tickets cost $45 general admission presale; $50 at the door (subject to availability); $40 for GLAZA members. In order to receive member discount, tickets must be purchased in person on site at Guest Relations with a current membership card and a valid ID. Designated drivers pay $25.

You must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event.

The LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles)

The LAIR houses over 60 species from around the globe. Additionally, this new structure provides a vital establishment for the Zoo’s reptile and amphibian focused conservation initiatives.

There are six visually stunning exhibit areas in the LAIR that include habitats for various unique and endangered amphibian, invertebrate and reptilian species.
