Party Information
The L.A. Zoo offers a unique experience for your child’s special day. The birthday team will do its best to incorporate traditional birthday party activities into our beautiful Zoo atmosphere. Let the L.A. Zoo make your child’s day one of the best!
Scheduling birthday parties will be based on a first-come, first-served basis, and it is recommended that you inquire about a specific date four weeks in advance.
Party packages prices apply to all adults and children over the age of two.
Your party will be held at an outdoor patio on zoo grounds. Exact party location will be determined by guest count and site availability.
Admission
Admission is not charged for evening events (after 5:00pm)
- Adult (ages 13-above): $17.00
- Child (ages 2-12) $12.00 (Children under 2 are free)
Birthday party slots are three hour time periods with a 1 1/2 hour food service.
Zoo Members will receive a 10% discount on catering.
Birthday Party Facilities
Education Patio
- Outdoor area perfect for small parties (includes two canopies)
- Daytime Rental Fee: $150 for three hours (30 - 50 guests)
Eucalyptus Grove
- Outdoor area great for picnics and parties
- Daytime Rental Fee: $350 for three hours (75 - 120 guests)
Birthday Party Catering
All packages Include soft drinks, water, and iced tea
Pizza Feast
- $10.75 per guest
- Your choice of cheese, pepperoni or a combination pizza. Includes fresh garden salad with dressing and breadsticks.
- Add chicken wings (hot or not) = $2.00 more per guest
Zippity Zoo Dogs
- $10.95 per guest
- Jumbo hot dogs, chili, cheese, sauerkraut, onions, and more… potato salad or coleslaw, potato chips, and assorted cookies
- Add hamburgers = $2.00 more per guest

Menu can be customized with a wide variety of sausages and dogs (spicy chicken sausages, turkey dogs, kosher dogs, and more!).
Chicken Strips with Mac 'n Cheese
- $11.95 per guest
- Dipping sauces, assorted cookies, and baby carrot snacks
Box Lunches
- $13.95 per guest
- Bagged chips, sliced fruit, pasta salad, giant cookie, soft drink and choice of sandwich: turkey on ciabatta roll, or ham and provolone, or chicken caesar wrap, or vegetarian patty on multigrain ciabatta
- Child Sandwich Selection ($8.95 per child) = PBJ, Ham and Cheese or Turkey, includes chips, fruit, cookie, and drink.
Western Barbeque
- $14.95 per guest
- Choice of one: (BBQ pulled pork, chicken or tri-tip), potato salad, cole slaw, traditional baked beans, rolls, buttered savory corn and assorted cookies
- Combination of two of the above entrees = $16.25 per guest
- Add BBQ pork ribs and fresh baked corn bread = $2.75 more per guest
Prices do not include tax (8.75%) and service charge (18.5%)
