ZooMobile

We'll Come to You!

ZooMobile is an interactive and engaging program that allows a closer view of our Education Outreach animals by bringing the Zoo to you! Our fun and lively presenter utilize props, costumes, environmental curricula, audience participation, and biofacts to enhance the program and engage participants in active learning.

The goal of all ZooMobile programs is to stimulate curiosity about animals and their habitats, and encourage respect for the natural world through close encounters of the Zoo kind.

The ZooMobile presentation is themed for different grade-levels and teachers receive curriculum and classroom materials to make the experience as meaningful and educational as possible. All programs are adaptable for small groups or large auditoriums.

ZooMobile animals are on special schedules, and as animals can be unpredictable, we are not able to tell you in advance which animals will visit your site. Our ZooMobile animals range from rabbits to reptiles to bugs and more. You will receive a confirmation letter with more details upon making your reservation.

Community Booth

Our ZooMobile booth program is perfect for your community event, festival, conference, fair, or other special event. Our trained naturalists will bring bio-facts, brochures and handouts for your audience to enjoy. Our ZooMobile vans provide a perfect backdrop and set the theme for informal exploration and discovery. Your guests are sure to remember this special animal encounter. The goal of all programs is to increase the awareness of the audience for conservation, wildlife, and the diversity of our regional ecosystem.

ZooMobile booth programs are available Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and some Saturdays.

Booth Programs are $400 with a 3 hour maximum.

School Program

Assemblies (41-150 students) (Grades 1 - 12 Only) $300
Additional programs same day $100
Classroom Program (up to 40 students) (Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-12) $100
Additional programs same day $85

Each program is 45 minutes in length, including touch time with the animals. ***Some animals are untouchable, and ALL animals are sensitive and have special requirements and boundaries. Students MUST respect the animal touch rules and requests made by Zoo Staff. ZooMobile Staff reserves the right to deny touch time for any reason.

Amazing Adaptations (Preschool-Grade 2)
This fun and interactive program focuses on animal adaptations and allows students to compare their own adaptations to those of our animal guests. Live animals are always a big wow, and paired with costume characters, fantastic activities, and the excitement of our educators, students are sure to remember this enriching experience for a long time to come!

Native California (Grades K-5)
Explore the diversity of the natural wildlife found right in our own backyards during this native creature tale. Meet some wild creatures and discover how native species adapt to life and thrive alongside humans. Your students will shout EUREKA! as they solve mysteries and discover how to conserve and protect our Native California.
