The Los Angeles Zoo welcomes Boy and Girl Scouts for Zoo World Patch Program classes and Zoopendous Nights, an all-night, indoor experience.
Zoo World Patch Program
Lead by a knowledgeable Zoo docent, the Zoo World Patch Program is a four-hour class for Boy and Girl Scout troops which focuses on the workings of the Zoo and its animal collection.
Through digital presentations, hands-on activities, and adventures throughout Zoo grounds, the program takes scouts on an investigative exploration of the Zoo’s plant and animal collection. Children learn about the daily operations of a zoo, as well as zoo careers, animal exhibit development, animal diets, and much more!
Each scout receives a special patch after the completion of the program.
The cost is $18 per scout and includes Zoo admission and a patch. One adult leader may attend free with every 10 scouts; each additional leader is $24. Prices are subject to change.
Due to limited space extra adults and siblings may not attend the program. Scouts must be in second grade or older.
