“Nurturing wildlife and enriching the human experience” We believe that our responsibility toward wildlife extends beyond providing the best possible care to the animals at our zoo. That’s why we actively participate in the preservation of some of the world’s most critically endangered species, including the Sumatran tiger, California condor, and peninsular pronghorn. |
This summer Los Angeles is going to be crawling with bugs, and we’re inviting you to buzz on over to the Los Angeles Zoo, the Getty Center, California Science Center, Kidspace Museum, and the Natural History Museum as we celebrate bugs and insects. Butterflies, bees, and ladybugs beckon! The Zoo is hosting the ladybug! On your next visit, don't forget to pick up a fun bug kit at the gift shops in the International Marketplace and add your ladybug to the collection! Each time you visit a different venue until August 31, 2008, you’ll receive a replica of a bug to add to your collection. Complete your bug kit and you’ll be on your way to becoming a junior entomologist! |
