Be the first to experience the Zoo as it wakes up! This exclusive morning is in honor of you – our members – who make the Zoo the special place that it is. Join us for an exclusive early morning for members-only.

Breakfast with Santa

For an additional fee, join us for a special breakfast with Santa Claus during Member Appreciation Morning. In addition to an exclusive engagement with Santa from 8 – 10 a.m., your ticket includes a delicious breakfast buffet (served from 8 – 9:45 a.m.) and unlimited rides on the Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel until 10 a.m. Space is limited.

Other activities include, face painting, holiday crafts, photo opportunity and a Letter to Santa Station.

Tickets to the breakfast are $21 for adults and $16 for children ages 2-12. Children under 2 are free.

L.A. Zoo Lights Holiday Happy Hour (21+)

These special VIP-style events include express entry into L.A. Zoo Lights beginning at 6 p.m., access to a private lounge serving complimentary hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and specialty cocktails. Limited tickets are available for each night, so make your reservations early! More Info >

Member Tours

Docent-led tours are available to GLAZA members only and are free for everyone eligible on your membership. Please make reservations at least two weeks in advance. Meet at the waterfall near the entrance to the International Marketplace at 10:30 a.m., unless stated otherwise.

Plants all have stories to share—and many are survivors of long vanished worlds. On this tour, we’ll see plants that were part of ancient landscapes shared with animals from dinosaurs to saber-toothed tigers.

Bird Walk: For the Birds

Have you met your wild neighbors? The Los Angeles Zoo is home to a variety of native birds. During this morning bird walk on Zoo grounds, we’ll introduce you to your avian neighbors and maybe spot an exotic visitor or two.
