Holiday Extravaganza Puppet Show

Evan, an energetic Elf, wishes that his snowman were alive. A zany Sugar Plum Fairy agrees to grant his wish if he can find three magical objects and if he proves he understands the true meaning of the holiday season. Evan sets out on an adventure where he meets a cavalcade of whimsical winter characters including a penguin with a need for speed, an indecisive gingerbread man and the misunderstood Peppermonster. Will Evan find what he needs? Will he learn the true meaning of the holiday season? Find out in Swazzle’s Holiday Extravaganza, a hilarious puppet show for audiences of all ages.

From all corners of the United States, the lovely Satin Dollz were brought together on one stage in 2005 to deliver top-notch entertainment reminiscent of the WWII USO Camp Shows from 1941-1947. Since then, their unique combination of varied talents have charmed audiences young and old, stateside and overseas, with their crowd-pleasing tap dance numbers and blended harmonies. So don’t miss out on seeing this talented group of ladies on Sundays (1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m.) through January 3 at the L.A. Zoo.

The Other Reindeer are a cappella carolers who provide charming and elegant entertainment throughout greater Los Angeles during the holiday season, and the L.A. Zoo is pleased to share the joy with visitors each Saturday from 2-4 p.m. through January 2. Performing in full Dickensian (Victorian) costumes, the festive singers perform traditional Christmas and winter holiday carols for all to enjoy.

Animal Enrichment Demos

Our animals are getting into the seasonal fun with “presents” of their own, which are part of our enrichment program. Enrichment activities are offered throughout the year and promote the physical and mental wellbeing of our animal residents by encouraging natural behaviors. During Reindeer Romp, see your favorite animals enjoy special enrichment treats at the dates and times listed below.
