There are many ways to support the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and a vital way to do so is through GLAZA’s Master Plan Campaign for major animal habitat improvements. You can make a gift to a specific new capital project such as Elephants of Asia or the Rainforest of the Americas, or you can support the overall Master Plan Campaign and we will designate your gift for the project most in need. Either way, you invest in the Zoo’s future and its mission of teaching global wildlife conservation. Gifts of all sizes are needed, and naming opportunities begin at $250,000.
Overview of the Master Plan Renovations
In 1996, the Los Angeles Zoo embarked on a Master Plan to secure the Zoo’s position as a leading cultural and entertainment resource and conservation institution. To date, ten new state-of-the art exhibits and facilities have been completed. The final project—the Rainforest of the Americas—is under construction. These projects are funded by $175 million in bond monies voted by our community and private funds raised by GLAZA.
