The Commemorative Program
There are a variety of reasons to honor and celebrate loved ones; a commemoration from the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association makes a unique and memorable tribute.
GLAZA offers unique, exclusive, and lasting tributes that support the Zoo and its crucial conservation programs. Whether you’re celebrating Mother’s or Father’s Day, a birth, graduation, or other personal milestone, or perhaps you are simply looking for a meaningful memorial, the Los Angeles Zoo’s commemorative program offers participants meaningful recognition.
In addition to the opportunities below, we currently have two backless benches available for $7,500 each in our China Garden (between the snow leopards and the Elephants of Asia habitat). Similar full-backed benches are available at the Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel for $10,000 each.
The Rainforest of the Americas
The newest addition to the Zoo, due to open in late 2013, will be an immersive environment that allows visitors to fully experience the wonders of the tropical rainforest.
We are excited to offer 80 brilliantly colored metal butterflies for $10,000 each; these bright, oversized beauties cover three tall branches outside the exhibit’s two-story stilt house. The LAIR (Living Amphibians, Invertebrates, and Reptiles)
This state of the art facility, which could be called a work of art in and of itself, opened in March of 2012, and we couldn’t be more proud of it!
We have five beautiful, rustic split-log benches for $7,500 each, two mini split-log benches inside the Southwest Desert LAIR for $3,500 each, an amazingly life-like alligator sculpture/bench for $25,000, a striking bronze viper coiled up in “Betty’s Bite & Squeeze” for $7,500, and a trio of bronze tortoises sunning themselves in the Arroyo Logarto for $10,000.
