Community Service Volunteers help with some of the numerous special events the Zoo hosts throughout the year and is open to those as young as 13, but please keep in mind that anyoneunder the age of 16 years of age, needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian when volunteering at the Zoo.

• Special Events: The Zoo hosts a number of special events throughout the year, like Big Bunny Spring Fling, Boo at the Zoo, and Reindeer Romp to name a few. Volunteers assist Zoo visitors with themed crafts, give-aways, photo opportunities, and directional assistance. 
• How to apply: Please print and fill out the Community Service/Service Learning application and send it to the address or fax listed on the application. Keep in mind it may take up two weeks to process your application, so plan ahead. If you know what event you would like to participate in, you may include that with your application to expedite the process. Please include the event, date, and shift when doing so.

Upcoming Event

Reindeer Romp, November 22 - January 2, 2008
Saturday and Sunday shifts: 9:30 - 1pm and 12:30 - pm.
Volunteers assist with this event by helping patrons with a fun reindeer craft.
