Welcome! The 7th Annual Callitrichid Behavioral Husbandry and Management Workshop will be held in Los Angeles, California.  Please join us for this free workshop focusing on the education and development of callitrichid caregivers.

Hotel Information

• Our hosting hotel is the Hilton Los Angeles North/Glendale. It is located very close to the Zoo. The conference rate is still available at $118 per night; please contact Julia Rodriguez at 818/956-5466 and refer to the "keeper workshop."
• Room rates are $118 per night plus taxes for double occupancy.
• They will provide free self park or valet parking for $20/day.
• Free shuttle service from the Burbank airport to the hotel.
• Transportation from the hotel to the Zoo will be provided Saturday and Sunday.

Airports

The Burbank Airport is closest to the Los Angeles Zoo and the hotel provides free shuttle service from there to the hotel. Contact the hotel directly for more information.

The Los Angeles International Airport has more options for flights, but you would have to take a shuttle service from LAX to the hotel and these usually run about $30 one-way. Taxi service is around $55 one-way. Taxi and shuttle options are located just outside the door of the arrivals level at the Los Angeles International Airport.

If you are driving to the zoo, you may follow the shuttle services from the hotel to the Zoo or contact Erin Fleming (323/644-6015 or erin.fleming@lacity.org) for directions to the Zoo (you can also find directions to the Zoo by clicking here). You can park to the right of the main entrance signs and you will enter through the double glass doors to the right of the ticket windows. There should be staff there to meet you for check-in, or wear your name tag if you checked in on Friday night at the hotel.

Schedule

Friday

• 5pm-7pm - Check in in the lobby of the hotel

• 6:30pm-9:30pm - Icebreaker on the Glendale Terrace (Lite fare will be provided with a cash bar). Please come and join us for food and drink!
   
  Saturday

• 7:15am - Shuttle service from hotel to Zoo
• 7:30am - Second shuttle from hotel to Zoo. 
• 7:30am-8:30 - Breakfast served at the Zoo
• 8:30am-6:30pm -  Workshop speakers and presentations: focusing on training and enrichment
• 6:30am-9:30am - Dinner, silent auction, and poster presentation at the Zoo
• 9:30pm - Transport back to the hotel
• Please note: There will be no transport back to the hotel during the day.
• Transportation: We are working on providing transportation to and from the hotel and zoo. If you would like to drive yourself, the Zoo provides free parking in the main lot.
   
  Sunday
• 7:15am - First shuttle from hotel to Zoo
• 7:30am-8am - Breakfast at the Zoo
• 8am-5pm - Presentations and Zoo demonstrations
• 5pm - Transport back to the hotel if needed.
• Please note: There will be no tranport back to the hotel during the day.
  
• Transportation: We are working on providing transportation to and from the hotel and zoo. If you would like to drive yourself, the Zoo provides free parking in the main lot.
