WHAT

GREATER LOS ANGELES ZOO ASSOCIATION and PAUL’S PHOTO announce early bird pricing for its 2019 PHOTO DAY, now in its 30th year. The event starts early in the morning, at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 to take advantage of the exclusive access to animal close ups and encounters. Representatives from major photography companies will be on hand to help novices test their basic skills and encourage seasoned photographers to explore more of the art and science of outdoor photography.

Participants will improve their wildlife photography techniques through informative workshops and dynamic presentations happening throughout the day.  Photographers may take advantage of limited-loan, professional-grade equipment, including lenses and tripods.  Included in the purchase of Photographer admission are early Zoo admission, the exclusive use of Photo Day stations and equipment, a catered lunch, a commemorative 30th Anniversary T-shirt, and an expo featuring major manufacturers. Available Friends and Family tickets include early Zoo admission and catered lunch only. L.A. Zoo Photo Day is rain or shine.

Photographer tickets are $150 per person and Friends and Family tickets $50 per person for when purchased by June 30th. Friends and Family guests can explore the Zoo with the Photo Day group in support their favorite Photographer and enjoy a catered lunch. Starting July 1st, ticket prices go up to $190 for Photographers and $70 for Friends and Family. GLAZA members, students with valid school ID, or Paul’s Camera Club members save $10 on Photographer admission. GLAZA members receive their discount code via email, and students and Paul’s Camera Club members can request a code by emailing [email protected].
