T-Rex Has Arrived
As part of our all-new exhibit, “Dinosaurs: Unextinct at the L.A. Zoo,” which introduces 17 lifesize, life-like prehistoric creatures from the Mesozoic Era, Tyrannosaurus rex is a ferocious animatronic giant that’s sure to be a favorite of Zoo goers. No remarkable dinosaur exhibit would be complete without a Tyrannosaurus, better known as a T-Rex, one of the largest and most powerful dinosaurs, from the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago. The name Tyrannosaurus rex means “tyrant lizard” and stems from Greek etymology. Check out how we transported this enormous beast to the Zoo in the short video.
