How much are tickets to the new dinosaur exhibit?
Admission tickets to the exhibit are $5 for adults and children age 2 and older. There is no discount for GLAZA members.
This is a separately ticketed exhibit, which requires a general admission Zoo ticket.
Children under 2 years of age get in FREE and do not require a ticket.

Do I have to purchase a ticket for my young child in a stroller?
Children younger than 2, get in free. Children ages 2 and older need a ticket.
Does daytime Zoo admission cover the price of the dinosaur exhibit?
No, this is a specially ticketed exhibit, and separate exhibit tickets are required. The dinosaur exhibit and Zoo general admission tickets must be purchased separately.
Do I have to purchase tickets if I’m a Zoo (GLAZA) member?
Yes, Zoo (GLAZA) members must purchase tickets to this special exhibit.
Is there a discount for members?
No, there is no discount for this special exhibit.
Is there a Military or City Employee discount?
No additional discounts for military or city personnel are offered.
Can I use my ticket multiple times?
No, once the ticket has been scanned, any additional printouts will scan as invalid tickets.
Does my ticket have an expiration date?
No, tickets to the dinosaur exhibit are valid and can be used any day (Monday–Sunday) starting at 10 a.m. with last entry at 4 p.m. for the entire run, April 15 through January 8, 2017. Tickets are not valid after January 8, 2017. There are no refunds.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds or exchanges, as the exhibit will be open rain or shine. No rain checks.
What happens if it rains?
The dinosaur exhibit is rain or shine, and as such the animatronic displays* will continue to delight. No rain checks will be issued. Subject to change due to severe weather conditions.
*Please note the dinosaurs pose no danger when exposed to water.
Someone else bought my ticket. Can I still get in if my name isn't on the ticket?
Yes, tickets can be given to friends and family.
Can I get in if the name on the registration/ticket is not mine?
Yes, tickets can be given to friends and family as gifts. Once a ticket is redeemed, however, it cannot be used again, regardless of how many copies are printed.
I cannot come on the date I had planned. Can I use my tickets for another day?

What is there to do at the dinosaur exhibit?
Stroll through a behind-the-scenes area of the Zoo and gaze at the 17 life-size, lifelike dinosaurs, many of which are animatronic. Hear them roar and screech, and don’t be surprised if one of them spits water at you! Your adventure into the mesozoic era also includes prehistoric photo spots, a fossil dig, and dino gift shop.
Is the dinosaur exhibit appropriate for kids?
Yes, this exhibit is intended for all ages, and strollers are permitted. Parents should be aware, however, that there is scene where a Tyrannosaurus Rex hovers menacingly over a downed Triceratops with visible wounds, which may not be appropriate for very young children.
How long does it take to experience the dinosaur exhibit?
The exhibit takes approximately 30-45 minutes, and includes an optional photo op with a climbable Pachyrhinosaurus, a fossil dig, fossil and bone displays, and app content that can be unlocked only at locations throughout the exhibit.
Is the dinosaur exhibit inside or outside?
Like most of the exhibits, dinosaurs are featured outdoors, within the Zoo. As this exhibit will be open rain or shine, consider bringing an umbrella when rain is in the weather forecast and sunscreen or shaded hats for sunny days.
Can I leave the dinosaur exhibit and return later in the day?
Each ticket is good for one-time entry. There is no reentry permitted to this exhibit.
Am I allowed to bring in food and drinks?
Food and drinks may not be consumed in the dinosaur exhibit.
Are strollers or wheelchairs allowed?
Yes, the L.A. Zoo is universally accessible.
Is there an age limit for the dinosaur exhibit?
No, the dinosaur exhibit is for all ages.
Can I bring my dog to the Zoo?
Pets are not allowed. However, the Los Angeles Zoo allows service animals on its premises to provide assistance to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
