The Los Angeles Zoo welcomes Boy and Girl Scouts for Zoo World Patch Program classes and Zoopendous Nights, an all-night, indoor experience.
Zoo World Patch Program
Led by a knowledgeable Zoo docent, the Zoo World Patch Program is a four-hour class for Boy and Girl Scout troops which focuses on the workings of the Zoo and the animal residents.
Through digital presentations, hands-on activities, and adventures throughout Zoo grounds, the program takes scouts on an investigative exploration of the residents of the Zoo. Children learn about the daily operations of a zoo, as well as zoo careers, animal habitat development, animal nutrition, and much more!
Each scout receives a special patch after the completion of the program.
The cost is $18 per scout and includes Zoo admission and a patch. Adult leaders are $24. Adult fee is waived for zoo members who provide their membership number. Prices are subject to change.
Due to limited space, extra adults and siblings may not attend the program. Scouts must be in second grade or older.
Program Times: From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Program Cost: $18 for Scouts, $24 for adult leaders
