National Zoo Keeper Week 2018

This event has ended.

Being a zoo keeper is more than a simple “day job.” Keepers are dedicated, highly trained professionals who commit themselves to the daily care and welfare of animals within the Zoo. Many of them also use their expertise to assist field conservation efforts around the world. So their impact is both local, and global!

Visit the Zoo today to see keepers in action and show your appreciation for the work they do.

Follow the L.A. Zoo on social media for more Zoo Keeper Week stories, or search for hashtag #NZKW2018.

Spot the Zoo Keepers

A great way to see L.A. Zoo keepers and get fascinating insights on animal care is to attend one of our educational presentations or shows, which are presented by keepers, education staff, and docents. See the schedule at right to plan your Zoo Keeper Appreciation day.
