No school and not sure what to do?
No school and not sure what to do? Grab your backpack, lunch, and safari gear and join us at the Zoo for a fun-filled day of adventure. We will explore the far reaches of the world, seeking out some of nature’s most amazing animals. Instead of working on sight words, you will have animal sightings; instead of reading comprehension you will help others comprehend your discoveries by sharing stories about what you saw and did. Students in kindergarten through fifth grades, join us for Safari Days here at the Los Angeles Zoo.

My child participated in the Safari Day programs last year and wants to go again. Will the programs be the same this year or are they different?
Each Safari Day is different. This year, participants will focus on a new topic during each adventure as they explore the Zoo with their Safari Guides.
Will my child receive anything at the end of the day?
Participants will receive a giveaway that corresponds to the topic of the day.
Will my child spend time in a classroom during the day?
Safari Days is designed to be an outdoor adventure. While there is small portion of indoor time at the beginning and end of the program, your child will spend the majority of the day exploring the zoo with their guides.
My child is signed up for multiple Safari Days. Do I have to fill out the Liability/Waiver form for each one?
We must have a new waiver each time your child joins us for a Safari Day adventure. Waiver forms will be emailed once you register and you can bring it with you to check-in.
I am signing up my child and they have friends that are also signing up. Can we request that they all be put into the same group even if they are different ages/grades?
Yes. Once you register you will receive an email with a link to a Google form that gives us the opportunity to collect some basic information about your child. This is the ideal place to let us know if/who you would like your child to explore with.
