AAA Discount

Current AAA members can save on daytime admission or annual membership by going to the AAA site, logging in, and searching “Los Angeles Zoo.” You may also purchase discounted tickets at the Zoo admissions window by showing your valid AAA membership card.

Discover & Go

L.A. Public Library card holders can go to the Discover & Go website to reserve a pass that is good for free L.A. Zoo admission for up to 4 people. Enter your library card number and a PIN in order to log in and reserve your pass. To receive tickets, bring the pass to our admissions window. Please note that there is only one pass available per L.A. City Council district per day. Passes are available on a first come, first served basis and are non-transferrable.

Military Discount

The Los Angeles Zoo is proud to offer an admission discount to active and retired U.S. military personnel and their immediate family (spouse and children): $3 off regular adult admission and $2 off a regular child admission (ages 2-12).

Please present a valid military ID at the time of ticket purchase. Discounts cannot be combined with any other offers.

If you’ll be attending the Zoo with a party of 15 or more people, you can purchase group-rate tickets at the prices listed below. You may purchase tickets at the gate on the day of your visit, download and return this pdf, or call 323/644-4210.

Please note that the Zoo starts putting animals in for the night at 4 p.m. Ticket sales cease one hour prior to closing time.


FREE Parking Available

On select days throughout the year, the L.A. Zoo offers a Preferred Parking Program for a nominal fee, payable on-site (cash only). The Preferred Parking Program operates on busy, peak attendance days including most holiday weekends and special events. On these days, limited free parking is available in designated areas.

On Zoo Grounds and Commercial Photography

The Los Angeles Zoo reserves the right to photograph, videotape, or film our visitors, on Zoo grounds, for self-promotional purposes. The commercial use of photographs, video, and film taken during your visit is strictly prohibited without the written consent of the Los Angeles Zoo.

Respect the Animals

When you visit the L.A. Zoo please do not feed the animals. All of the Zoo’s animals need special diets to stay healthy and the wrong food can make them sick. Feeding the animals may result in your removal from the Zoo.
