The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) is the private, nonprofit, partner of the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Through various agreements with the City of Los Angeles and the Zoo, GLAZA manages seven essential Zoo departments, including fundraising, membership, publications, marketing, special events, volunteers, and concessions and retail.
GLAZA occasionally issues Requests for Proposals for various business opportunities in connection with our activities at the Zoo. We encourage you to check this page regularly if your business is interested in working with us.
Notice to Department of the Zoo Industry Professionals
If you are compensated to interact with the Department of the Zoo, City law may require you to register as a lobbyist and report your activity. Any individual may qualify as a lobbyist, regardless of occupation, education, training, or professional title. A lobbyist may hold a position that includes but is not limited to attorney, CEO, consultant, government liaison, business owner, permit applicant, urban planners, expediters, land developers, various real estate specialists and others.
CAPE VULTURE AVIARY EXHIBIT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Cape Vulture Exhibit is an existing abandoned moated animal exhibit in the African Region of the Los Angeles Zoo (Zoo). The Zoo retained the services of Torre Design Consortium to develop Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) plan check approved construction drawings and specifications to renovate the abandoned moated exhibit for a Cape Vultures Aviary. Mandatory Site Visit: Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. (RSVP required by noon on Friday, 6/18/2021)
